Tall Ships on the Great Lakes - Summer 2010

2010 will be a very exciting year for Great Lakes sailors & enthusiasts. This summer the Denis Sullivan and others are leading an armada of international schooners, barks and sloops on the Great Lakes United TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE®2010. The ASTA Great Lakes Challenge is held every four years. ASTA (American Sail Training Association) is focused on youth education, leadership development and the preservation of the maritime heritage of North America. Six harbors will host the ships beginning in Toronto. Each city will welcome separate ship lineups. Sailing schedules will remain flexible to the last minute, since captains have final say over each vessel's course. Please make sure you read ASTA's Site of the Month - Travel to Germany and the Netherlands…without leaving the country

Linda Anderson and several artist members of Anderson Photo Works Community will be exhibiting their fabulous artwork at many of these exciting maritime festivals. Watch for their booths and remember to stop and say hello. Enjoy your summer on the Great Lakes! You can check my event schedule tab at the top of my website: Anderson Photo Works or my Events Blog.

I hope you enjoy the condensed schedule below!
